Has anyone installed Powerquest Drive Image 5.0 in Win XP? I just installed it and made a successful backup image,I think.<gg> Guess I won't know for sure unless I need to restore.

When the backup was done and I had rebooted I ran Norton Win Doctor (2002) and found 7 invalid shortcuts. All are related to .PIF files in Drive Image. Win Doctor indicates that "The icon C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\SHELL32.DLL cannot be used. The icon file might have been deleted or the .DLL might be corrupt." The only fix offered is for me to manually edit the invalid shortcuts properties. Way over my head!<g>

I have found SHELL32.DLL but it is located in the windows\system32\ rather than \SYSTEM\. Will someone with XP home edition check and see where SHELL32.DLL resides on their machine? I do know how to move it, but have no way of knowing where it belongs or if it is corrupted.

Any and all advice appreciated. :)

Bob
