Jon,

how do you try to determine trend reversals? Lower highs after a good run up?

Have been working on an indicator in Metastock that uses linear regression to determine trend, searches for a minimum 5 bars up (or down) and then looks for the 1st bar with a close below the open (or close above open in a down trend.) It finds some decent entry points on the Q.

I've been looking at breadth and volitlity indicators to see if they can show short term trend reversals. But have not found a correlation yet. Love to create a spreadsheet that i could dump a bunch of numbers into and it would say "Go long!", "Go Short!", "Stay the course." and would always be right. :) Of course, that would take all the nail biting fun out of it.
