Nancy, if that crash was sabotage, UA is in a very dire position. They can hardly afford to lose holiday travel. Either way, I believe they are 6-months from filing even if the outlook for travel improves. Others like US Air are also pretty close to Chapter 11. The government will not hand out more money for losses due to a sabotage crash.
