James, What if the name you pray too is not a valid entity? (I don't want to argue what is right and wrong. Just trying to make a point here!) Why would you even take the chance? Why not pray to God himself? If you believe in God, then praying to the name "God" should not be a problem, right? And what about people that do not believe in God? Then prayer (as you say you might say, surrender) can not be the answer, right? And what about the people that believe in God but do not choose the option of prayer? Then what????
