ya, i agree that this new initiative will be major competition for BREW.

I'm not going to pretend this is my area of expertise, so how about one of you in the know folks clarify something for me? My read of the announcement ... classic wafflegab that it was ... made me think that they were describing a set of standard APIs and/or functionality, not the implementation. So, why is it that you think BREW, which seems to me implementation technology, is necessarily competitive and/or excluded? Is it not possible that these APIs could be implemented in BREW? Or, if not, what is it that they are going to be implemented in? I didn't see Java mentioned either?
