[World DRAM Price] 128MB DIMM Spot Prices Decline Below US$10
November 14, 2001 (TOKYO) -- The 30-day rolling average prices of 128MB DIMM (PC133) in the spot markets of North America and Asia dropped below US$10.
As of the current period, the average price of 128MB RIMM is about US$36 and about US$13 for DDR. They are still higher than that of PC133 type.
These results were found by a worldwide survey of DRAM prices conducted by ICIS-LOR, an information service company with bases in London, Houston and Singapore.
The 30-day period (Sept. 27-Oct. 26, 2001) rolling average prices of 128Mb DRAM (PC133, 16M x 8) for large-volume users were US$1.39 in North America, US$1.51 in Europe, and US$1.38 in Asia. Compared with the previous week (the 30-day rolling average ending Oct. 19) the prices fell by 1.92 percent in North America, by 2.92 percent in Europe, and by 3.50 percent in Asia.
As for the prices of memory modules, the spot prices of 128MB DIMM (PC133) declined by 7.32 percent to US$9.86 in North America, by 3.34 percent to US$11.51 in Europe, and by 4.86 percent to US$9.80 in Asia.
