Hynix Semiconductor Considers Sale of Non-Core Facilities November 14, 2001 (SEOUL) -- Hynix Semiconductor Inc. announced Nov. 12 that all of its non-core facilities (fabs) are subject to potential sale. The firm, which is attempting to secure much-needed liquidity, said the overall sales figures of its non-core facilities would likely surpass a trillion won. The company said it is in negotiations with Chinese and Taiwanese companies to sell both chip facilities and production technologies, but added that nothing is definite. (Maeil Business Newspaper, Korea)
