Hi:
My buy and hold perspective has to do with the long term risk/reward ratio. In Elan's case, the ratio seems quite favorable to holding and even adding. If either the MS or the AD candidates come through, the reward will be very large. If not, their other products, pipeline candidates and programs seem to well justify a price above today's level. Additionally, the ALZA purchase provides another perspective on value.
