CDNX discontinuing free 20 minute delayed Market Depth.

Notice to cdnx.com users regarding Market Depth:

With the acquisition of CDNX by The Toronto Stock Exchange (TSE) in August, a number of initiatives are underway to leverage the strengths of both organizations with a view to providing more effective and efficient service to our customers. As a result, we are currently in the process of integrating CDNX's trading engine technology with the TSE's new trading engine.

In preparation for the migration to the TSE's trading engine in December 2001, CDNX 15-minute delayed Market Depth data will be discontinued on this web site as of November 16, 2001. This affects the Market by Order and Market by Price information that currently appears on the Company Info and Quotes page.

Here's the notice link from the CDNX site.

The way I see this one, even as useless as the brokerages have made Market Depth, and even though this was delayed data, someone still didn't want retail investors to have this info without paying for it.
