If VT and Syracuse were fortunate enough to win their last two games.....VT vs Virginia and Miami... SU vs Miami and BC, then Miami and VT would both have 2 conference loses and SU would have 0. That's not going to happen. There is a slight chance that Miami is vulnerable so there are still lot of possibilities, just not probabilities.

When it comes to bowls I've always preferred that SU go to a bowl that it has a chance to win. When they get ranked too high, and don't have the team to justify it, they go to a major and get humiliated, like Florida did to them a few years ago. I'd rather they play a ranked 10-20 team when they really don't have all the pieces necessary to compete with the top tier.

Getting whomped in a bowl is embarrassing.

I've never traveled to Blacksburg, but most of the SU fans that I know say that the VT fans are okay. W Virginia football fans seem to PO SU fans more than any other in the conference. Miami has always been a little arrogant and their fans probably take after them? The Miami team doesn't seem quite as hot doggie as they used to be...especially when Erickson was the coach. I guess the NCAA took a little bit of the hot dog out of them?
