OT Willcousa, I don't know how his nickname came to be. Does "Jackmar" mean anything special? That was really a heart warming gesture in the part of the Christians (in various denominations) toward the Muslims. The Muslim youths could emulate the good things their Christian brothers are doing: --- get a good education (finish college the better) and then apply for jobs abroad where their skills are needed. The Muslims in the Middle East will be more than willing to accept them. If the Saudi's can employ a million Filipino Christians, why not them? This incident should not have happened. The Dept of labor should have been more understanding: --- Some months ago some Filipino Muslim youths were recruited by a company in Saudi Arabia to work for about 4 months to prepare and decorate the Mecca places of worship for the impending Ramadan. The pay was small but many of the youths wanted to go because that's their chance in a lifetime to visit the sacred place every Muslim wants to visit even once in his lifetime... But the Philippine Dept of Labor refused them permission to go. The reason? The Saudi Company recruiting them happened to be named "Binladen Company." The company is not really a terrorist company, it just happened that the name is similar to a terrorist man. These kind of things happen that cause Muslim youths to think the government is favoring Christians over the Muslims.
