It is true, I generally trust this Administration, and therefore presume that they have a pretty good rationale for the National ID. I cannot be on top of everything, and I have no strong opinion on this, I only query what the harm is. In the nature of the case, one relies on the reports of others for various things, because one cannot study everything independently.
People have to have latitude to do their jobs. I would not think to second guess all of the decisions of the Joint Chiefs of Staffs, or the theater commanders. I am not an expert, I am not privy to all of their information, and I do not have their responsibility. The same goes for the President, or the Secretary of State, or whomever. I am very careful about criticizing people in responsible positions, and try not to shoot from the hip.
