"Why anyone in his right mind would expect us to get bogged down in taking out the Taliban, I do not know......." I don't know either. That's why I view criticisms of our air campaign suspiciously. To attack such a sound plan seems ludicrous. WS was also pretty liberaly throwing out the suggestion that people who beleive in our air capabilities were not using "facts" to support their opinions. I don't know if you can call them "facts", but Bosnia, Iraq and the retreat of the Taliban are pretty compelling examples of circumstantial evidence at least.
