Suppose AMD shipped 7,70 million CPUs in Q2 and 7,71 million CPUs in Q3. That's a difference of 0.1%. You could call this 'relatively flat'. But it's also a new record. So both statements are accurately describing the sales.

I really don't see a problem here. We already knew that Intel increased processor shipments more than AMD in Q3 and Intel gained some market share. And we also know that Jerry likes to brag about processor shipments. Putting things into perspective, everything makes perfect sense. It's IMO very unrealistic to assume that AMD would lie in their financial press releases. It's all about the exact words.
