I'm taking a couple of graduate level history classes at George Mason. Last night during break, I asked the people sitting near me whether I was the only one who was happy about the fall of Kabul. They agreed - they just were not all that interested. One woman said that the Northern Alliance is just as bad as the Taliban, so why should we be happy? I guess that's the party line. So on the one hand we've got the liberals who wouldn't be happy unless the Democrats are running Afghanistan, and on the other hand we've got the hard line hawks who won't be happy unless we invade every Islamic country, kill all their leaders and convert them to Christianity. LOL! Everyone is crazy except me and thee, and sometimes I have my doubts about thee.
