Bill, I agree. This is just one of those things that we engineers get paid to do. If it weren't for bugs (that is, if all ICs were perfect), I'd be out of a job.

I think that CPQ is good for keeping strict standards, and maybe HWP can learn a few things about CPQ's validation process to improve their tests as well. I think that finding bugs now before Compaq launches their servers is far better than getting a phone call from a few customers, after these systems have been shipped out to the field.
