Constantine, this was my quote.

That does not imply a fixed 2:1 ratio of Pentium 4 max frequency to Pentium III max frequency. All it asks is if you can imagine Intel getting to at least half the frequency of another design on the same process. I did imply that if Pentium 4 can reach 3.5GHz, than a .13u P6 might be able to reach 1.8GHz, but I did not imply any kind of fixed ratio, or general rule to go by.

In other words, even if the Pentium 4 can only get to 3.0GHz, who's to say that a .13u P6 core couldn't still get to 1.8GHz?
