The Falcons are like the rest of the NFL - tough to gauge. We came out of the bye week completely and utterly unprepared to play (against New England). Other weeks, we are raring to go, against good teams like the Saints and 49ers. Our defense is in shambles - rookie coordinator who has looked clueless at times. One of the top 3 CB duos in the NFL, solid safeties, yet we were last in pass defense going into the Dallas game (Ryan Leaf helped our stats -g-). Reeves saw a lot of his good defensive staff leave this year (Rich Brooks, secondary coach Ron Meeks, DL coach Bill Kollar) because he is waffling on the retirement issue. Tom
