Necessities of Life, eh???

Hi Richard,

Those "necessities of life" would probably net you about a 15% sales tax in Ontario where I reside... Its a drag and really adds up. A lot of people have discontinued buying things like books, magazines, etc.. because they seem pricey when you add the tax on top.

We were in Arizona in early May and everyone kept telling us how "lucky" we were to be visiting before the REAL heat starts around the second week of May. It was about 90 F in the mornings but increased to about 100 F in the afternoons. Actually it didn't seem that bad, but you could really feel the sun "burning" you. We tried to do most of our hiking in the morning and evening... and spent afternoons in the air-conditioned museums, etc... and on a really hot day, we drove up to Sedona which was about 30 F cooler.

Will have a new "destination" for the thread tomorrow.

Regards,
Bev
