People with serious bucks don't even fear the nursing home for the most part.

One of the places I looked into for my mother early on happened to be the same place that Nancy Marchand, "Livia" in the Sopranos, spent her last days. If I recall correctly it was about $140,000 a year plus other costs depending on level of care needed.

I looked in one woman's room; mahogany on the walls, antique furniture, serious bucks.

Walk to the other side of the building and you have a full blown medical facility.

Gee, my wife made me Jambalaya for lunch. Wonder how much money she is going to hit me up for later. I figure at least a thousand, has to be four digits minimum. Usually if she does not intend to ask for anything I end up pulling out cold cuts.
