Eric- You amaze me. that Sprint PCS call was the best thing I have heard from a carrier. Sprint in short was confirming that they believe that the TDMA/GSM/GPRS/EDGE guys won't be able to compete with similar services.

As far as my comment about you not having a clue, I should have been more clear, you are totally ignoring the big picutre.

1X with 144 will test the data demand market, 307 was always to follow as confirmed by Sprint. Qualcomm is shipping the 5100 and 5500 with 307 ahead of networks being ready for 307. The upgrade from to 307 is minor, I will followup with details. This strategy is different from the GSM crowd which is fully aware they are way behind and launch "networks???" without working handsets.

307 and DO has been tested and is waiting for network deployment. What would have the carriers do, launch 307 and say the new 153 handsets are second best, I don't think so. It will be rolled in, sounds like Sprint plans on 1 year after the 1X 153 is fully deployed. Makes sense to me.
The 307 handsets will be a total piece of cake. Never did I say 307 was fully comercialized.

If anyone ever pumped Q's technology it was Valente on that call.

As far as WCDMA, the faster it is deployed the better. It appears that the downlaod speeds in Japan are a lot faster than 64, but I am still waiting for average speeds to be released as the network gets loaded.

Caxton

P.S. Been loading the boat with PCS since 22.5, more calls yesterday.
