*OT* While waiting for the jello...

Man, Bush went a little overboard on the Putin introduction...ending with "here's a man who's going to make the world a much safer place, Vladmir Putin"..

Perhaps just rhetoric, but overdone for sure (as an introduction)....still a few nasty issue out there (like Chechnia, and those mysterious shootings of businessman)..

Still, I laud Bush for playing the Putin card right now...as an oil man, he knew Russia could break OPEC, and its been done brilliantly (OK, maybe it was Cheney's idea...we'll never know).

Still, Bush certainly doesn't have Clinton's international finesse, but he does a good job during this crisis.

Here's hoping Putin is more Gorbatchov, and less Andropov..
