Your point about short covering is well taken, as is your point about money coming off the sidelines. This quote, from a Dow Jones newstory today, supports your speculation:

"Also, institutional investors are rushing to get back into the stock market as consensus builds that the recovery is imminent.

"There's strong consensus view that the recovery is near at hand, and the last thing you want to do is not be in this thing to catch the upside," he said."

I should remind everyone that Infospace's forward looking financial projections are based upon a worst case scenario and are about as conservative as one could be realistically. Any improvement in the economy could allow Infospace to blow those projections (if you can call them that) away.

It is obvious that investor optimism has increased about the wireless sector in general this week. Just take a look at the five day price charts for other leading wireless companies--NOK (Nokia), Ericsson (ERICY), and Infospace's sometime nemesis OPWV (Openwave). They're all up very strongly this week,. Especially notable is Openwave's recovery after a disastrous 3Q earnings report. I suspect that Infospace's stock price is just catching up with sector momentum. $3/share is the next stop. How long?
