Peter, Re: I don't understand it either but the K6-2 550 seems to live eternally... ;-) For upgrades who don't want to buy a new motherboard, new memory, a new power supply etc. pp. it's probably the best CPU upgrade available. And if you still have e.g. a K6-2 300 you can get nearly twice the performance for a mere 40 bucks. Andreas
