Yeah i'll miss Franco too, it's been my favourite major by a wide margin for some time ... but then i already miss en.to Euro-Nevada, which got rolled into Franco, it was more purely gold-oriented and had far higher leverage to the PoG ... same royalty model though ... but Lassonde would make a fine leader for goldbuggers, and if he's with Newmont then it'll be a leading company, no doubt in my mind about that ... got to watch close though for intra-board rivalry there now, if he splits, look out
Near-term i find it easy to imagine weakness in nem.nyse ... i had very few fn.to, bailed yesterday, sort of expect PoG weakness on top of all the normal trepidation concerning acquisitions ... Franco has been quite tradeable off of stockcharts.com's galleryview charts, very liquid ... but the juniors are where the leverage is at, imho, i just keep tucking away bits of paper in the ones i think will survive and are placed well for the next wave, without much of a short-term plan really |
