I'm handling an arbitration case for a relative. I was shocked to learn that the underlying statute of limitations for these cases is usually only one or two years. I don't recall seeing that mentioned in the fine print on the account applications.

I'm completely European myself, but I have relatives with Chippewa blood. The Chippewa (Ojibway) always got along well with the whites and had better luck retaining their lands than the Sioux (Dakota, Lakota). I think I saw a site on Native American genealogy once, and if I find it again I'll PM you. Here are some interesting books I picked up at Mille Lacs a few years ago...
