You have got to be kidding! That's no reason to deny a safe place for Jews to go. If you look back at history, during World War II, NOBODY wanted the Jews. Jews were turned away from all countries. They needed a place where they would not be persecuted.
The Jews are a special case, because of the world wide hatred towards them. Even today, there are few countries that will stand with the Jews. It is remarkable that they have a good relationship with Turkey.

It is a Christian country. I have said this many times on SI. But, there is significant religious tolerance for all religions, races, creeds and customs here.
