John...it is my gut feeling that as WordPerfect gains market share outside of the corporate world it will eventually lead to larger corporate purchases....

Also...does anyone think that most documents will go towards an HTML (or???) based file save type as corporations go to Intranets. I'm not sure about this but seems that maybe the way we save documents as x.doc (word) or x.wpd (WordPerfect) may become blurred by intranets/internet. Seems if documents are saved directly as html file then they could be instantly accessed by browser. Maybe as one saves their newly composed document one will have option to set "link from" or "link to" information..

If this is true, could it be bad/good for WordPerfect... Possibly more competition in the future?? Say from Netscape... Possibly should combine with Netscape???

For instance I use netscape 4.0 to compose E-mail...no need to compose in WordPerfect then copy/paste cuz it has the basic word processing features i need... (spell check..etc)... When I compose for SI though I still use WordPerfect... copy and paste to SI. If I were composing for a web page I guess i would just save as an html file..... Seems as if in the future we may save all of our files as html files with potential links right on our own computers or corporate networks...

Hmmmm I'm starting to confuse myself...

I guess that in the end what I'm trying to say is that maybe in the future corporations will be able to be more flexible in the Wordprocessor that they allow their employees to use because all documents saved will be of a similar type...html (or??)

Any comments out there?
