>> Capability vs. competence. Hmm. Both are synonyms for skill. How could I get them confused? <<

what i mean to say is that there are many competent men in america. it takes special capabilities to be president of the united states. president bush may be a competent individual, but i believe he is not the most capable republican for the job. i still wish him all the best and hope he can lead the nation toward the right course.

>> BTW, Bush has demonstrated an ability to lead, not just the people of the US, but of much of the world, convincing them that his agenda is right, and it's not all due to his advisors <<

not to detract from his performance so far, but to be honest the american people (and much of the world) don't need any convincing that we need to go get bin laden, his terrorist network, and the taliban regime that harbored them. the real test of his presidency is how he proceeds after he accomplishes the obvious objective that would be hard for any president to screw up.

as a matter of fact, i see mr buchanan just posted an article addressing this very point.

>> Your issue is that he doesn't articulate YOUR agenda. <<

who else should i speak for other than myself? furthermore, i do agree with pres bush on some major issues, yet i still feel he has trouble articulating the reasons motivating his stance. i desire in a president one that can convince the american public why our agenda is best for the country. i personally don't feel he is the best man for the job, although at this point it is moot because he is our elected leader.
