OK, I didn't realise you meant that they do have the choice to abort. But I use the term "brood mare" implying a pregnant female who is forced to carry to term, for no other reason than that someone else wants the child; or, worse, even without wanting it themselves deems that it shall not be aborted... and I mentioned orphanages because you said that the women could give them up to orphanages or adoption as though that would be their aim and wish. Personally I don't think women would choose to be pregnant just for the joy of giving their baby away... even surrogate mothers get fairly well paid.
