Omar Wants 'Extinction of America'

LONDON –– Defiant in the face of stunning setbacks, Taliban supreme leader Mullah Mohammed Omar said in a radio interview Thursday that he'd rather die than join "an evil government" with Afghanistan's former leaders.
"We will not accept a government of wrong-doers. We prefer death than to be a part of an evil government," Mullah Omar told the British Broadcasting Corp., dismissing a U.N. proposal for a multiethnic Afghan government.
Mullah Omar also warned of a larger strategy – the "destruction of America" – without specifying what actions may be taken.
The BBC asked the Pashto-language questions by satellite phone through an intermediary who passed them onto the Taliban leader through a hand-held radio. His exact location was unclear, but the private Afghan Islamic Press agency reported earlier Thursday that Omar was in a safe place and in charge of his troops.
Northern alliance advances, backed by U.S.-led bombing, have cost the Taliban their grip on the Afghan capital, Kabul, and deprived them of huge swaths of territory.
Mullah Omar acknowledged that his forces "may have made some mistakes," and was in control of only four or five Afghan provinces.
"But it is not important how many provinces we have under our control," he said. "Once we did not have a single province, and then the time came when we had all the provinces, which we have lost in a week."
He called the Taliban pullback from urban centers part of a larger strategy.
"The current situation in Afghanistan is related to a bigger cause – that is the destruction of America."
"If God's help is with us, this will happen within a short period of time – keep in mind this prediction," he said. "The real matter is the extinction of America, and God willing, it will fall to the ground."
"I tell you, keep this in mind. This is my prediction," he warned. "You believe it or not – it's up to you. But we will have to wait and see."

we need to mobilize. americans have to realize we're going to take casualties. we need to gear up both conscript and volunteer alike the with the promise of booty as well as duty.
if i knew there were some booty in it and they would let me go, i would go in a heartbeat. i was a 'gunshop commando' once and had a large collection, including the marlin camp 9 carbine d s&w 9mm pistols, and the marlin camp .45 with a colt .45 pistol companion.
i had an m1a1 from springfield and a 7-shot browning .45-70 lever action rifle - everyone's favorite.
i was a good shot. to me the 15 or 17 or 30 round (grendel .22 magnum) auto-pistol was like a submachinegun with a special technique i developed called the 'thomas technique'
i hit a can at 75 yards with a 9mm s&w 15-round pistol. it was a two-handed technique were one hand holds the butt and the other pulls the trigger. it's probably about 3 or 4 rounds per second. you can just watch the bullets hitting downrange and the hand that's gripping the pistol itself guides the barrel to the target as the triggering hand goes full blast. it's like a miniature machinegun.
president bush needs to institute national marksmanship programs and start handing out the weapons. they should crank out the old m1 carbine and make it the standard u.s. civilian sidearm. it uses a .30 caliber 'magnum' round.
i could see myself out there in search of booty and hoping that against all odds i would survive to capture my own share.
if i were foot infantry ('ground pounder') i would probably take a 'mac-10' paratrooper rifle with a 75-round detachable magazine. it fires 7.62x39 which is a good intermediate round. the 75 rounds makes it into a veritable light machinegun. i believe the specs are 115 grains at 2300 fps. some say it's very similar to the ballistics on the 30-30.
we could militarize all of our suvs, putting .50 cals on the tops. then we could put them on ships and make a beachead somewhere and unload those puppies and go hog wild for the booty.
if this mullah omar dude is for real, we really need to get moving... no more wendy's or mcdonald's for anyone... from now on it's a steady diet of push-ups, combat training, and blood... then the booty for those who survive.
the u.s. could hand out free land to its war vets; land it captures and turns into new states. the indigenous peoples would also become americans. we will teach them how to make apple pie and let them hear 'slow ride' by foghat. they will be mightily impressed.
so what are we waiting for? this could be the big adventure that propels the u.s. into a new era!
what would happen if the u.s. had a policy of simply invading all of these trouble spots and turning them into states? which other major power would be the first to object? where would the u.s. start? mexico? (not that mexico is a trouble spot)
i propose that we invade mexico. first we offer them a chance to become a state, then if they refuse we invade them, but treat them humanely. when the annexation is completed in either case, then we do the same with south america. we would do the same thing to the north with canada. who would stop all of those machinegun-packing suvs, especially with gasoline so cheap?
then once the entire americas were truly the united states of america, every citizen would be required dual-language skills; spanish and english both. that would solve the debate over which language should be spoken. everyone would speak both. we could give quebec back to fraunce.
after that we could start looking abroad.
what we need though are a series of leaders who fight and die in combat along with their privates. the president and his cabinet and the congress should have 18-wheelers with missile racks on dual trailers!!! they could give 'standoff' fire support to the swarm of 'federally sanctioned u.s. militia' suvs.
after we unite america, we ally with japan in asia. their race queens cannot be topped.
then we clone race queens and populate the places we conquer with them. if race queens could be cloned, they could be matched up with the 200 million frustrated chinese bachelors, without wives because of all of the girls they kill at birth in that culture.
if anyone needs a policy of gynocracy and polyandry, it's china!!
i liked heinlein's idea that only veterans should be allowed to vote. we should institute that when we go to war. the soldier could have a designated other who would get their vote upon the possibility of the soldier's demise in the field of combat.
then we could also give out votes based upon taxes paid. the more you pay the more votes you get from that too.
detroit could come out with a whole new line of military vehicles for the civilians.
i would take a little ford escort 'pony' with front-mounted 40-mm automatic grenade launcher.

it's a culture war... buchanan was right about that... he just didn't know it was much larger than he'd thought.
one thing we should do right away is open up the credit lines and give every u.s. citizen a $50,000 shot in the arm. then we could give out wireless stock trading machines to the people in 3rd world countries and open up credit lines for them as well. that would send the markets into space...
