I B NET Partners with WISeKey to Promote Security of B2B Marketplaces
NEW YORK, Nov 15, 2001 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- I B Net, Ltd. (OTC: IBNT), an e-commerce provider focusing its efforts on small to medium-sized companies, announced today that it has partnered with The World Internet Secure Key (WISeKey), the world's largest public key infrastructure and global common ROOT service, to establish a secure B2B marketplace by combining the international WISeKey B2B community and Registration Authorities with I B Net's Tradelert(TM) B2B marketplace.
The partnership will benefit subscribers of both companies. Businesses subscribing to I B Net's Tradelert e-marketplace will receive digital certificates ensuring confidentiality, authenticity and integrity of information from companies they do business with. The two million subscribers to WISeKey's suite of services will find their e-marketplace expanded to a global network, based on Tradelert's technology.
I B Net estimates that, based on its $200 per subscriber revenue model, the agreement with WISeKey may generate annual revenues of several million dollars by the end of fiscal 2003.
"The strong synergies that exist between I B Net and WISeKey led quite naturally to this partnership. We are now able to offer our subscribers the highest level of B2B security available," commented Myrna Z. Weiss, president and CEO of I B Net.
