Truthie,
Can we do a time out here? Most of SI readers follow many boards. XYBR has been a long term speculative hold for me. I follow many issues and am diversified, long and short, trade, hold, long term, short term, puts, calls, write, hedge, etc.
I try to follow these boards to get information on various stocks. As I've posted to you in the past, much of what you do, I think is great and useful. I've even traded on information that you uncovered or warned about.
In XYBR, I think you've more than stated your position. If I may summarize as follows:
T says that XYBR can't be trusted because it has used paid touts with questionable backgrounds in the past, has a high float and sales have been minimal. T would also like to post over and over about those he feels are scumbags even though it is probably irrelevant to the company now.
OK? Now does that summarize hundreds of posts? We get it!
Most of us realize all this. Those who have stuck around realize the risks, but also feel this has has a HUGE potential as a product. I have problems with the way management has handled the shares, particularly their insider sales at inopportune times. However, I think it's worth a speculative shot despite management greed.
If the product takes off in any one area, e.g. airport security, it has the potential for a huge gain. If it doesn't, then it hopefully gets bought out for patent value, if any.
Bottom line, yes, could go under, so be careful. BUT, it could grow to be a billion dollar cap. Sales COULD come from the military, airports, businesses of all kinds, etc. I don't think the commercial product will see the light of day for several years. However, the commercial product could be developed into a billion dollar product.
As for paid touts, I tend to run away from them. However, let's call a spade a spade. Anthony@Pacific has posted that you are a paid basher. I'm not saying that this is necessarily bad, but aren't you being a bit hypocritical?
Best wishes,
