I am about to buy myself an early Christmas present, thanks to Jozef. Compaq 8000, Model 1700XP, CDRW, 40G HD, upgraded mouse, no speakers and no monitor. $824, which includes a $50 promotional discount and free shipping. I'm glad I waited. OT, I just upgraded my PDA to a Sony Clie, and it's awesome. $169 anywhere. Best, Dave
