Let me give you some basic facts and why IDC has got it wrong.
In their report, they have NTAP 2001 sales as 592 M. i don't know where they get their numbers.

For 2001, NTAP revenues
1Q - 231M
2Q - 260M
3Q - 288M
4Q - 225M

So if you add it up it is 1.04 Billion.

BTW, if EMC is gaining market share, why are their revenues down, and the MARGINS eroding..

In the latest quarter

EMC - 30 % GM
NTAP - 58% GM

Go figure !!
