| I've only been West a few times - I don't really like the desert, and, strange as it may seem, the Rockies leave me cold - no pun intended. Most people are stunned by the breathtaking majesty and all that, but not me. I know it's weird, but that's just the way it is. I love the ocean, I love the peculiar flat land of the Mississippi Valley, I am a flatlander. I do love green rolling hills, and the Blue Ridge mountains. I like to visit D.C., Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Manhattan, but my favorite places in those cities are the older parts of town. I think Annapolis is really cool, and Old Town Alexandria, and Fells Point, places like that. Halifax, Nova Scotia. Charleston, South Carolina. New Orleans. |
