One problem with 'just-in-time' inventory control, is when your supplier has shortage, you have little on hand to fall back on. Dell must have reminded Intel that they might have to start selling Athlon MP's or XP's if the situation didn't improve. Maybe that's why Dell's allocation may have been increased. I wonder if the cow will tell Gateway's owner that the flow of 2Ghz P4's is shrinking?
