My ZPort GLW trade: - Sue and others. I do not necessarily buy and/or sell my stock picks at the same time that I make a pick or sell for the Zport. They are all stocks that I own, and follow, but most of my stocks are in buy and hold mode. I make picks based on where the stocks are in a trading range. If i make a pers buy or sell at the same time, i will so post, ala Paul. Obviously, GLW should not have been sold. A nice 12% move in a day or so was very attractive, and others had posted on the possible exit points for GLW. It has disappointed more than satisfied in recent months. I own GLW in my portfolio, from higher and lower prices. I also am long some feb 7 1/2 calls that i couldn't resist when the stock was down near $7.50 - 8.00 I went the feb calls because i figured the stock was likely dead money for awhile, but i would catch a nice bounce, at some point. the premium on the febs were only a dime more than the decembers, i think. the point of all this, is i hope i did not confuse or mislead anyone. In my post of the sell, i said i still liked the stock but was selling it for what i thought (YHOO) had more short term potential. I still do think that. The news that came out on GLW at 3:45 about companies possible ordering fiber early next year, sparked the run at the end of the day. I've said several times, when GLW announces a pick-up in orders, the stock will explode. I still feel that way. THe timing of the explosion may have been shortened. larry |
