TIG and everyone else, please drop the subject, I think that Rich simply did not understand my post and somehow construed "just don't expect me to be obsequious to your invidious inveteracy" to mean that he is a liar. That is not the meaning of that sentence. Nor was the "cool it off, please" (I thought there could not be a more polite way to make such a request, but as you know, I am English Challenged, so maybe that was offensive to Rich) which started his tirade, a requests that he cools his market bullishness, it was a request that he stops the non sense of: "This thread with its UnAmerican Anti Israeli attitude is a joke.." or "So you know what I hope the BEARS get as much pain as they inflicted on the bulls... I didnt make it personal...George Cole..Steve Lee..and some others did..." (#reply-16628239). And that post was a culmination of a number of boring posts of the same kind. Bears did not inflict pain on the bulls, the bulls afflicted themselves, nor are the bulls inflicting pain on the bears for the last week, the bears are pretty good on pouncing on their own toes (g). I, for one, hope that none here has hope for the financial demise of anyone else on this thread. I did not think we were here to gloat on either the bears' or the bulls' hardships made by erroneous investments. If that was the goal of SI, I should be spending my time on numerous threads pouring salt on open wounds.
Just forget these kind of posts exist and move to the next interesting discussion. Rich does not even understand that I have no power to control what is posted on this thread, including his own rant, nor can he point to any "UnAmerican or AntiIsraeli attitude" on this thread. Apart of that, being American or proIsraeli is not a prerequisite to post on this or any thread on SI, as far as I know. I would say that the majority of this thread's participants, are American patriots and many others view Israel as an important US ally and understand the parallels between our struggle against terrorism and Israel's fight against the same scourge. He has galls labeling this thread UnAmerican or AntiIsraeli, that is "invidious inveteracy". And as for calling me "yellow" or whatever, that is indeed "invidious inveteracy", and I will still not be obsequious to such invidious inveteracy, whether Rich understands what it means or not. Sometimes, Rich does not understand his own posting, like suggesting that he offered an olive branch. He did not, he suggested that I may have offered that branch and he, in his graciousness, accepted it. well, I am the offended party, not him. he can chose to behave like a real human being, and if not, I certainly can chose other interlocutors on the thread. Right now, it seems that he choses to allienate every other poster on this thread, and if that continues, he may end up having Mark Johnson as his only interlocutor on this thread.
P.S. Maybe you noticed that I am a little "pissed off".
