That is what makes them Third World countries. The companies you mention, mostly resource extraction companies (many Third world oountries have mining operations or plantations) like Exxon, Chevron etc. do not add anything to the non-resource economy.

len, this old "don't blame me, I'm exploited" argument only works if you're poor. The Arab oil producers ain't poor. All their failed political and economic systems were their own choice; it's been a long, long time since you have any real colonialists to blame. To treat them now as if they're not responsible is to patronize them badly.

So I ask again, why do you use this flagrant double standard when judging the Arabs vs. judging Israel?
