I never thought I'd have to argue about that.

a) Suppose you are an AMD investor. Would you like to know what Intel does? Of course, you HAVE to know your competition. That's why I say Dell very well knows the white box market.

b) What? While I agree that Dell's stronghold is in the US, they have been expanding overseas. From Dell's 2001 annual report, page 7:
"We continue to see that the way we do business is applicable and embraced by customers in all markets, and we’re methodically expanding our global presence, including in critical national markets such as China, Brazil and India."

Dell has been selling in China since 1998, IIRC.
