Hal is aware of the Fed study and also of a study done by "The Chartist". The Chartist study indicates PE vs interest rates are as bullish as the summer of 1982.

The Chartist study shows that comparing just historical PE's alone is totally wrong. Many people who do not understand the relationship between PE's and interest rates conclude that the current market is way over valued...which is totally wrong again.

Hope this helps, but I know many people will not understand.
