Kayaker - Max pain works except when it does not.
This has been discussed many times.
Delta hedging forced us to close way above pain levels.
In a strong downtrend the opposite occurs.

I took a few shorts today quite comfortable that they would not go against me by much.

Huge numbers of calls at strike 60 and 40.
No way to clear the hurdle.
Unfortunately they did not tank either and I closed them out for commissions costs.

I do not use IQUATO for this reason.
I prefer to look for myself at CBOE.

I for one, think today was a fine example of options expiry manipulations.
