That's because it's nearly December and there isn't going to be any financial collapse in 2001. On the contrary, after a month of media mayhem and traumatic scenes on tv, people are getting retail therapy in a big way.

There are only 5% unemployed in the USA which is nothing in the big picture. The same everywhere - unemployment and financial mayhem is non-existent [other than the normal exigencies of business ups and downs and ups and downs in markets].

As expected, a medieval superstitious bunch of bullies with rifles and black turbans couldn't take on the world.

So, what's to worry about?

It That's what. But nobody is aware of It's stealthy approach. Well, Ted Kaczynski is, but they put him in gaol and everyone ignores him. Bill Joy, Stephen Hawking, Ray Kurzweil and some others have noticed a trend, but they are not popularly followed.

So the sheeple of the world are obsessively following a medieval jihad fighting the 20th century might arrayed against them while the big picture eludes them. What's interesting is that it won't be all that long that many of those opposing Osama and Omar are going to find themselves taking a similar position. The anti-globalisation squads are already active, but they don't really know what's coming. They just want to keep the tribal way of life a little longer.

Too late.

Meanwhile, the New Paradigm is roaring ahead unabated. 6 billion people are wanting CDMA and CDNA. They nearly all want a better life and are working to achieve it.

No wonder it's quiet in the gloom and doom village.

Meanwhile, Uncle Al has done a great job and the world is tidying itself up again after a crazy couple of years.

PS: As expected, oil is dropping in price as suppliers compete for business. There's no shortage of oil and plenty of plants waiting for some CO2 to be pumped back into the biosphere. Oil is now half the price of the recent peak and only double the 1998 low.
