Amazingly, Oppenhemer, (an Argentinean) captured well all the ins & outs of Mexican politics. He also interviewed comandante Marcos... an interesting book for those who are familiar with politics south of the border and an eye opener for those who are not.
As for expectations... well, I think that it will be a long process, but they have started. After all, living under the PRI Monarchy for 71 years created a mindset which will have to be eliminated and they have to realize that Papá Gobierno is not the fix for every ill in the horizon. |
