American soldiers will not follow an immoral leader to lunch much less to war.

Unclewest is WRONG !

They HAVE TO follow or be subject to court martial.

Was Vietnam a moral war? Why did so many soldiers follow that immoral leader and the war to their death?

much of our strength is rooted in our system of moral values

Sure. Like the senators who accept money from lobbyists and pass laws in their favor like the tobbaco industry and NRA?

Morals and morality are very tough subjects since they are subjective both in terms of relativity and time. What was moral yesterday could become, by definition, immoral today or vice versa.

There are generally accpeted prinicples of accounting and we know very well how they can be fudged. Just imagine what can be done with morality for which there is no genrally accepted definition.
