i end my mornings posting with this "cheery" notation from CBS-Marketwatch <<Not since the Great Depression

Output fell 1.1 percent in October, the Federal Reserve reported. It was the steepest drop since production fell 1.3 percent in November 1990.

Thirteen straight months of declines marks the longest stretch since a 15-month span that ended in July 1932, during the Great Depression>> comment: i do not think one should arbitarily laugh this off as a shallow coincidence---i thus will add that the 29 Crash(13% down in one day),did NOT reach it's final bottom for 32 months(plus or minus a month)--at that point it was 95% down from it's closing price the day before the 29 crash.Max
