Lutz is the consummate car guy. Iconoclastic and interested in cars that perform well and handle well, what he does with this portion of car performance will be interesting. He is said to be quite direct and to demand performance. GM's very top management is depending on him to shake up th etroops that passively resist change. I'm sure you know that all of th einroads into American market share made by the Japanese manufacturers have come at GM expense. The entrenched sat idly by and let it happen while looking inward.
