Yeah, you can live with it while you are living there I guess. The code is probably designed to get the wires below the 18 inch freezing point ..... perhaps. You can get away with it only because you did it, I would guess. So if there is a problem downstream the Insurance Company is out of the loop. As for the "These men" cut, well, I do everything by the book. The phone book. I was playing golf yesterday, the garbage disposal was leaking. A Real Man would have a wife who called him off the golf course. My wife called a friend who is a plumber, he was there before I got home and the garbage disposal is now fine. That's a day in the life for me. Some immigrants' kids can frame a house. Me, I can only frame a question. "When can you get here, how much and how fast can you finish the job?" I don't pick up a screwdriver if I don't have to. I understand that a lot of people like that stuff. For me, I believe that a man has to know his limitations.
