Thus, any claim by these Frenchies about some "deal" being made to betray Bin Laden to the US in exchange for political recognition is incredibly disingenuous, if not blatantly naive.

I dont believe the Frenchies ( FL please note - ok to call them that but not PAKIS I guess?) CLAIM (sic) anything. They are reporting what they were told just as any reporter / author anywhere in the world would do. They may even have a recording to prove that thats what they were told. And if I understand the law and/or the code of conduct on reporting, its that the reporter verifies with his source.
